Poem day

Today we got up in front of the class and read our poem. Some of them was interesting. I really liked maritza’s she talked about how her dream was becoming a artist she even had some of her drawings on the side of her paper

Fences by August Wilson pt.5

Today was picture day so we were in the 2nd block for a long time. Other than that today was a good day. In the 3rd block we read from page 64 to scene 2 act 4 I think. It began to get interesting towards the end because we found out Troy had been cheating on R ose with Alberta. Then he told Rose that Alberta was pregnant. In the scene after that or in that same scene Alberta had the baby but she ended up dying. Troy and Corey got into it as well. In this play, my least favorite character is troy because he's very arrogant and so set on what a “man” is supposed to be he neglects his son's feelings about playing football. he also tries to project how he feels about his failure onto Corey. My favorite character is Rose because she is very nice and friendly to others. Even when she was mad at troy she put their differences aside and took in his daughter.

Ethos, Pathos, Logos

Today we talked about ethos, pathos, and logos. Ethos, pathos, and logos were a review for me because Ms.Smith taught that last year.  We also wrote down some notes about arguments. We gave our definition of argument and gave the real definition. My definition was an argument is when 2 or more people have different opinions about a topic.
